This position is part of the Therapeutic Development (Manufacturing Development) department located in Coralville IA and will be an onsite position. At IDT we are one global team. We celebrate our differences engage in healthy debate and are inclusive. Together we accomplish great things.
In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Assist in the development of platforms (programs) for long single guide ribonucleic acids (sgRNA)
- Execute proofofconcept experiments to optimize oligonucleotide manufacturing processes prior to GMP campaign operations.
- Familiarize yourself with the operations and minor maintenance on the OP100 Oligosynthesizer AKTA150M Pure Load and Lock columns.
- Work under the mentorship of senior chemists in manufacturing oligonucleotide activities.
- Other duties as assigned
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Bachelors degree in scientific related field or relevant experience required.
- Minimum 02 years of work experience in scientific field or biotech industry preferred.
- Knowledge of oligonucleotide manufacturing processes and synthesis methods preferred.
Travel Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
- No travel required
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
- Familiarization with standard oligonucleotide instrumentation.
- Experience with upstream (Synthesis Cleavage/Deprotection) and downstream (Purification UltrafiltrationDiafiltration Lyophilization) experiments for oligonucleotide manufacturing at umole and mmole scale.
- The ability to analyze and interpret QC and experimental data.
