Job Description

Job Overview: The Service Drive Sales Associate plays a key role in generating vehicle sales by leveraging interactions with customers in the service department. This position is responsible for identifying sales opportunities engaging with service customers and effectively transitioning them into the vehicle sales process. The associate works closely with both the sales and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction increase sales volume and improve overall dealership profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Engagement:
    • Approach customers in the service drive and establish rapport.
    • Engage service customers to identify their vehicle needs preferences and potential interest in purchasing a new or used vehicle.
    • Provide information about current inventory promotions and financing options to customers waiting for service.
    • Answer questions about vehicles and the buying process to build customer confidence.
  2. Sales Conversion:
    • Qualify service customers and identify those who may be in the market for a vehicle.
    • Schedule test drives appointments with the sales team or followup meetings to discuss vehicle options.
    • Work with customers to ensure they understand available vehicle models features and benefits.
    • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure smooth transitions from service to sales.
  3. Collaboration with Service Team:
    • Work closely with service advisors and technicians to identify potential sales leads based on customers vehicle issues tradein opportunities or expressed interest in upgrading.
    • Coordinate with the service department to ensure a seamless customer experience and timely followup.
  4. Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
    • Maintain and update customer records in the dealerships CRM system.
    • Follow up with service customers after their visit to gauge interest in vehicle sales.
    • Track interactions with customers and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the process.
  5. Product Knowledge & Sales Training:
    • Stay current on vehicle inventory including new and used car models features and pricing.
    • Continuously develop product knowledge and attend sales training sessions to improve selling techniques.
  6. Achieving Sales Targets:
    • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and goals set by the dealership.
    • Work with management to develop strategies for improving servicetosales conversion rates.
  7. Customer Service Excellence:
    • Provide a positive and professional experience for customers by addressing their needs and concerns.
    • Follow up on sales leads and inquiries in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
  • Companypaid training for new candidates.
  • Meet requirements for manufacturer certifications in the areas of product knowledge and technology.
  • Prior automotive or retail sales experience not required.
  • Bilingual with proficiency in both English and Spanish highly desirable.
  • Exceptional Guest service skills and desire to achieve CSI scores above manufacturer requirements.
  • Excellent verbal & nonverbal skills listening skills and ability to problemsolve.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite is required.
  • Present a professional and wellgroomed appearance.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Some college preferred.
  • Must have a valid US government issued Drivers License safe driving record and eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to pass a preemployment background screening and drug test.
