Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and detailoriented Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments to scope and drive report requests and organizational platform enhancements from inception to completion. This role requires a proactive individual with strong project management skills excellent communication abilities and a deep understanding of business processes in one or more of the following areas: solar industry energy industry utilities industry and/or finance. Skills in reviewing SQL data Power BI artificial intelligence Databricks Dev Ops and Excel are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify and prioritize report requests and platform enhancement needs.
- Work closely with the Business Intelligence Manager and Leads on business requirement documents.
- Manage business unitspecific projects including working with stakeholders building out requirements and meeting with business units to gather and incorporate feedback.
- Able to speak to executivelevel management with good communication as well as be the liaison to developers and have marginal code knowledge.
- Extremely creative in providing users with ideas on Power BI graphs charts and KPIs.
- Able to provide Power BI users with clarity on good design practices such as the ability to communicate the data story with color selection layout and powerful visualizations.
- Communicate effectively with both lowlevel and executivelevel management.
- Define project scope objectives and deliverables in alignment with business goals.
- Facilitate regular project meetings providing updates on progress risks and issues.
- Coordinate with crossfunctional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Identify and resolve project roadblocks and escalate issues as needed.
- Ensure that project documentation is complete current and appropriately stored.
- Monitor project performance using appropriate systems tools and techniques.
- Conduct postimplementation reviews to ensure projects meet business objectives and identify areas for improvement.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by actively seeking feedback and making necessary adjustments to processes.
- Work in partnership with the team in Dev Ops to monitor projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business administration Information Technology or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in project management preferably within a business enhancements or IT environment.
- 25 years of experience in a business analyst position preferably within a business enhancements or IT environment.
- 25 years of experience with Power BI.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals
- Experience with or interest in learning artificial intelligence management in a fastpaced environment.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering results on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Agile Scrum PMBOK).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Analytical mindset with strong problemsolving abilities.
- Experience working with platforms such as the Viewpoint ERP system.
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Azure Open AI and other artificial intelligence skills including familiarity with AI concepts (e.g. natural language processing or predictive analytics) using tools like Microsoft Copilot or Azure AI services.
- Possess general knowledge of Azure AI services including their capabilities for automation insights generation and enhancing business intelligence workflows.
- Examples: Azure Cognitive Services (e.g. Text Analytics) Azure OpenAI (e.g. GPT models for natural language processing) Azure AI Search (e.g. semantic search capabilities).
- Understand how AI tools like Azure OpenAI Service can be used for tasks such as summarization or semantic search without requiring direct development or implementation skills.
- Provide guidance on leveraging AIpowered features in tools like Power BI (e.g. natural language queries or AI visuals) for more effective data storytelling.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI solutions can enhance reporting accuracy or automate repetitive tasks.
- Stay informed about emerging trends in AIdriven business intelligence to recommend best practices for integrating prebuilt AI services into workflows.
