Are you ready to excel in a dynamic and fastpaced environment At J.P. Morgan we offer an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Vice President in Rates Sales to join our Sydneybased team. Collaborate with our partners in Trading Syndicate and Research across Sydney Singapore and Tokyo to deliver exceptional client service and drive success in the G10 Rates market.
As an Associate/ Vice President within the Australia Rates Sales team you will take charge of client coverage and manage the daily of interest rate products primarily focusing on Australia and New Zealand markets while also gaining exposure to a wider range of G10 Rates products. Your role will involve working with a diverse client base providing them with regular market updates executing their orders and supplying valuable market intelligence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Transact in interest rate markets across a wide range of clients including asset managers pension funds banks sovereign wealth funds and hedge funds.
- Manage the trade process including trade booking new issue order taking general sales coverage and desk support.
- Fulfill client requests for market updates and provide clients with market intelligence.
- Identify market drivers and develop a crossproduct skill set.
- Collaborate with internal partners to ensure seamless client service.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Strong understanding of Derivatives with a solid mathematical background.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in a Markets role with a solid understanding of macroeconomics.
- Strong understanding of Markets products.
- Detailoriented team player with a disciplined approach to process and quality control.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with internal partners and clients.
- Proficiency in Bloomberg Microsoft Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Bachelors degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications Capabilities and Skills:
- Experience with volatility products is favorable.
- High degree of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform well under highpressure situations with urgency.
- Clear logical thinker with strong qualitative abilities.
- Ability to learn quickly multitask and selfmanage priorities.
