Job Description:

Job Duties:
Conducts individual group and/or dropin inperson and remote tutoring sessions for assigned courses.
Approaches tutoring with a learnercentered focus to increase students confidence and success.
Has strong oral and written skills. Communicates with tutoring supervisor to ensure effective tutoring methodologies. Understands and supports the studentteacher relationship.
Maintains accurate and timely documentation of tutoring sessions.
Guides students on how to develop active and independent learning skills.
Adapts strategies for specific learning differences.
Attends and participates in regular oneonone and group training sessions.
Stays up to date on current trends in tutoring practices in content area.
Has experience working with people from diverse backgrounds.
May attend courses being tutored to promote services or provide support in the classroom.
Performs other duties as assigned by the tutoring supervisor.
Adheres to student and staff policies as determined by Aims Community College.
Work Hours:
PartTime must have availability to work weekdays and weekends.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS in related field from a regionally accredited institution or combination of equivalent education and/or experience or certification in related area.
Teaching tutoring or work experience in related content area.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students and colleagues.
