About the position:
- As our newly appointed Instrumentation and Controls Drafter we will look to you to use your expertise to produce P&IDs Basic Wiring Drawing Local Control Panel GA and Wiring Drawing PLC Panel GA and Wiring Drawings Loop drawings Hook up drawing Boolean Logic Drawing and all the instruments and controls related drafting activities using the AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyses and review of as sold proposals customer specifications/requirements in conjunction with the assigned Control Engineer to draft the required drawings for the application.
- Utilizes AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical for the documents.
- Assists Controls Engineers create the Bills Of Materials (BOM).
- All required drawings/documents are completed within required timescales and meet project and quality requirements.
- Assists with reviewing customer markup prints and disposition of comments.
- Workshop visits to assist with design changes as required per the project and to assist shop personnel with production of equipment.
- Production of asbuilt drawings and P&IDs.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Word / Excel / Adobe and all Web based systems for design completion.
- Check own and other Drafter drawings for accuracy.
About you:
- Ideally youll hold a degree and/or equivalent combination of experience (drafting/design experience using AutoCAD/ AutoCAD Electrical in an Electrical and/or Controls and Instrumentation engineering environment)
- Youll have experience in producing Controls and Instrumentation drawings complete with full BOMs.
- Experience in P&IDs
- Youll possess strong time management skills and be confident in job prioritization.
- Assertive confident and selfmotivated.
- You works well under pressure and are a great communicator at all levels across the business.
Addition requirements:
- Full valid UK driving licence required
- Live within 1hour commutable distance to our Stamford Office PE9 4AQ
