A wellregarded and inclusive school in the City of London is seeking a Pastoral Support Assistant to join their SEN provision. In this key role you will work closely with students who require additional support to help them thrive academically socially and emotionally.
Pastoral Support Assistant Job Summary
- Fulltime termtime only role Immediate start
- Longterm contract until July 2025
- Role paying 400500 per week Paid weekly on a PAYE basis
- FirstClass or 2:1 degree from a top 20 UK university
- Previous experience supporting children with SEND is essential
Pastoral Support Assistant Job Role
- Provide onetoone and small group support for students with varied SEN
- Assist with personal care tasks (e.g. toileting) ensuring dignity and comfort
- Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students ensuring a safe environment for all
- Help develop students social emotional and communication skills building their confidence and independence
- Collaborate with experienced SEND professionals specialist teachers and educational psychologists gaining valuable handson experience
