Job Description
The Production Assistant is responsible for various television production duties required to record scenes for live and recorded broadcasts.
- Minimum 2 years of onair promotion experience as a writer/producer/videographer/editorfor a local station or cable network working in a news environment
- Possess a strong understanding of design typography and composition
- Must have ability to work flexible hours including weekends when needed
- Strong nonlinear editing skills
- Passion for strong image and promotion writing
- Working knowledge of lighting and audio gear
- Possess excellent communication presentation organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact with all departments
- Must be able to provide a reel of work examples
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Sets up cameras and related equipment
- Tests cleans maintains and repairs camera equipment
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to meet deadlines prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Other duties as assigned
