Open Ended (permanent)
Fulltime: 35 hours per week

We are looking for an experienced Head of Risk and Resilience to provide strategic and operational leadership of the Universitys risk management and resilience services comprising risk business continuity and emergency management.

This is a critical role in the University forming part of the Corporate Services Group working in partnership with senior leaders across the breadth of the organisation establishing risk appetite risk management and risk mitigation strategy. This will contribute to delivering the Universitys 2030 Strategyleading to a positive risk culture being embedded across the University.

The Opportunity:

This is a highly visible leadership role with a broad remit that requires a proactive leadership style driving best practice and innovation in approach to risk and resilience services. The postholder will bring a high degree of initiative and thought leadership in the delivery of their remit. Active networking across the institution is important to the success of this role understanding the importance of relationships and wider engagement to positively influence stakeholders.

The role requires an experienced risk professional with a proven track record in identifying key strategic and operational risks and implementing successful mitigation plans. This role requires experience of coordinating activity across a large complex and devolved organisation and of working collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels. The postholder will be adept at prioritising their workload in alignment with institutional priorities.

This post is fulltime 35 hours per week).

The salary for this post is 62728 to 77386 per annum.
