In this role you will oversee the administration and development of psychological services programs playing a vital part in shaping inmate rehabilitation. In this position you will oversee and participate in the activities of subordinate psychological staff. This includes screening inmates referred for psychiatric and mental health services making appropriate referrals for evaluation or treatment conducting psychological assessments and administering and interpreting diagnostic measures. Diagnostic techniques will be employed to assess intellectual functioning personality structure interests aptitudes and other psychological factors. Additionally you will formulate both shortterm and longterm psychological treatment goals for inmates and provide immediate crisis intervention and therapeutic services. As the administrative supervisor you will shape psychological services programs assist in creating new policies and develop a counseling program to address adjustment challenges in daily life social interactions and work environments.
