Job Description:
As aLead Systems Engineer for the Intel & Cyber Sectoryou will contribute to the development of leadingedge technologies that deliver missioncritical solutions for our customers this role you will lead overall systems development for cuttingedge Tactical ISR / Electronic Warfare product lines while supporting existing product improvements. Bring your experience in RF advanced signal processing signal detection modeling and electronic warfare systems to advance state of the art applications supporting Electronic Attack Electronic Protection and Electronic Support.
This Lead Systems Engineering role with L3Harris will be the senior technical authority on a program pursuit or team to design and develop a system/subsystem product. He or she has the responsibility for ensuring the technical integrity of the system product and providing leadership of the engineering team as well as overseeing on all engineering aspects. The Lead or Chief SE is the primary technical point of contact to management and the Customer.
Essential Functions:
- Requirements development analysis allocation management and verification techniques and tools such as DOORS or CAMEO
- Author/ review program technical documentation to include SEMP Requirements Specifications and Interface Control Documents (ICD) Test Plans procedures and reports
- Conduct formal Trade analysis / studies including performance cost and schedule sensitivities
- Act as Technical POC and Leader with Program subcontract equipment providers
- Lead system design and development efforts
- Synthesize high level function goals to task multiple teams and coordinate subsystem integration
- Assists with team coordination and planning interfacing with program management and customers
- Coordinate system design implementation integration verification and validation activities
- Engage in systemlevel trade studies and allocate functional and performance requirements across the firmware and software domains
- Support bid and proposal activities along with customer and internal presentations.
- Analyze results and build data to identify root cause issues and trends
- Lead an engineering team towards predetermined longrange goals and objectives the incumbent determines and pursues course of action necessary to obtain required results
- Demonstrated leadership competency and solid communication skills both verbal and written are required
- Mentor junior engineers and coworkers
- Available to support up to 10 travel
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
- Active Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Proficient in Engineering core competencies (Mechanical Electrical RF Software)
- Expert knowledge of RF architectures and components (antennas receivers transmitters sensors signal processors)
- Knowledge of RF signal processing and advanced communication algorithms
- Detailed knowledge of one or more signal protocols (Cellular 5G WiFi Bluetooth etc.
- Experience designing and fielding EW Systems especially Electronic Support (signal detect classification direction finding geolocation and collection) Electronic Attack (counter communications counter UAS counter RADAR information operations)
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Selfmotivated entrepreneurial attitude and spirit
- Experience with lab equipment (Oscilloscopes / SpecA / SigGen)
- Top Secret security clearance
- Organized and detailoriented
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work harmoniously in a team environment with government customers and other contractors
