Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact Join our team as a Recovery Support Peer Specialist at MHMR where your expertise will directly contribute to programs that make a lasting impact.
The Recovery Support Peer Specialist works closely with individuals to support their efforts in recovery from the chronic disease of addiction using relational theory stages of change concepts 12step programs and Education Life Skills Groups. In this role you will work closely with individuals involved with the Child Protective Services System and/or Family Recovery Court. You will help individuals in recovery navigate the system drawing on your own experience and assist them to successfully retain custody of their children and/or with the return of their children. You will also help them successfully complete the Family Recovery Court process.
Minimum qualifications:
Minimum Education: High School Diploma/GED
Spanish Speaking is preferred.
Years Experience: Two 2 years in recovery from substance use and experience with Child Protective Services
License/Certifications: Recovery Coach Certification earned after hire.
Special Courses: Peer Specialist Core Training and Recovery Support Peer Specialist training within 6 months of hire date.
