Position Overview
The Sr Automation Engineer 1 DSM DeltaV Infrastructure will provide Engineering input on the design implementation configuration and testing qualification of the hardware for an Emerson DeltaV control system. Once in Operations you will be responsible for and have ownership of the ongoing support of the control system hardware software and infrastructure.

We are growing our locations and are investing more than $2 billion into establishing a newlargescale manufacturing site for biopharmaceuticals in the United States to accelerate the growth of our Bio CDMO (Contract and Development Manufacturing Organization) business. This will be the largest endtoend cell culture CDMO provider in North America.
The new site will offer endtoend solutionsto our customers looking to manufacture biopharmaceuticals in the US. In addition to drug substance manufacture it will alsoprovideautomated fillfinish and assembly packaging and labeling services. The new stateoftheart facility is located in Holly Springs North Carolina United States.
Job Description
What Youll Do
- Spearheads the Automation team through activities such as code configuration within several process areas
- Leads the development for various specification documents (e.g. user requirements specification (URS) functional specification (FS) design qualification (DQ) etc.
- Leads the development for various test protocols and functional testing documents (e.g. installation qualification (IQ) operational qualification (OQ) etc.
- Plans and implements the technical direction for small area of responsibility
- Leads small teams through Automation changes and Tech Transfers
- Makes complex decisions across single Automation systems
- Contributes to Automation system hardware and software designs
- Serves as oncall support for Automation inquiries and troubleshooting
- Collaborates with other departments such as Manufacturing Maintenance and Validation
- Conducts training and presents information to team or other stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned

Basic Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Chemical Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or other relevant field with 8 years of Automation Instrumentation & Controls or other relevant technical experience
Preferred Requirements
- Masters degree in technical field of study relevant to Automation or Instrumentation & Controls with 6 years of Automation experience
