Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Hospice Nurse to join our team. The Hospice Nurse will provide endoflife care and support to patients and their families in a hospice setting.
Duties:
Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms
Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic care
Educate patients and families on endoflife care options
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements:
Valid RN license in the state of practice
Previous experience in hospice or palliative care preferred
Knowledge of Athenahealth or similar electronic medical record systems
Familiarity with medical office standards and procedures
Understanding of behavioral health principles
Experience in utilization management and occupational health
Proficiency in airway management techniques
Ability to work in highstress environments such as ICU settings
Skilled in administering injections
