40Summary:
The Registered Nurse will perform intake assessments and nursing admission assessments for patients at PHP. Assists with case management services including pre-authorizations of PHP admissions and pre-authorizations for prescriptions. Assists with QI audits for PHP. Provides psychotropic medication education health and nutrition classes to parents with children enrolled in PHP. Works in the intake department providing telephone intake assessments and referrals. The Registered Nurse will provide care with a team-orientation an emphasis on good customer relations; sound clinical judgment and appropriate decision-making abilities that take into consideration evidenced based practice.
Qualifications:
Nursing degree 5 years RN experience in Psychiatry
Understanding of patient intake
Previous case management experience preferred
Pediatric and Psychiatry assessment preferred
Current permit or license to practice professional nursing in the State of Texas
CPR - BLS required
CPI Non-Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1-7 & 9-10 plus the CPI Childrens Control Position from Unit 8
