AC Hotel by Marriott Melbourne Southbank is a 205room 4star hotel located on the city fringe of Southbank a short walk away from the Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre. Our hotel is a designled hotel for the guest who is intentional in everything they do. Through overthinking every element of your stay AC provides everything you need and nothing you dont.
We are hiring an Assistant Food and Beverage Manager on a fulltime basis reporting directly into the Food and Beverage Manager.
Position Summary:
- Assist with managing all aspects of the food and beverage department alongside the Food and Beverage Manager
- Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with training team members managing performance and recruitment
- Responsible for managing all food and beverage outlets ensuring the team is providing service excellence through each customer experience
- Be an engaging and inspiring manager by providing motivation and support to the team
- Ensure the restaurant is consistently prepared and always stocked through ordering and adequate planning
- Showcase your inner creativity with all operational tasks strategies and team building initiatives
- Be the main point of contact for all external & internal clients for the Food and Beverage department
About You:
- A desire to progress within the industry and willing to participate in trainings to foster your own development setting your pathway to leadership
- Ability to influence and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
- You will have relevant experience in a supervisory role ideally in a hotel environment or similar
- Current unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Available to work on a rotating roster including early mornings evenings weekends and public holidays
