Your work environment at EXP

EXP provides flexibility for employees to work in any of our offices in GTA with the option to work remotely on the other days.

• Demonstrate expertise in civil design start to finish with attention to detail across various sectors including Industrial Commercial and Institutional Site Development as well as Residential and Commercial Subdivisions. This taking full responsibility for every detail of civil grading drainage and servicing design within proper drawing setups.
• Prepare comprehensive civil design drawing packages accurately and proficiently ensuring adherence to agency specifications company standards and client requirements. Stay informed on review agency requirements including those from municipalities regions conservation authorities and the NEC.
• Mentor and coordinate drafting and design efforts for junior staff while facilitating collaboration and communication of design information with designers project managers CAD staff and other team members. Clear understanding of project Scope with clarity when work evolves to out of scope requiring additional fees.
• Ensure timely and highquality productionof civil design drawings start to finish meeting established project timelines and standards. Fully responsible for design and production.
• Strong critical thinking abilities with a proactive approach to problemsolving and providing alternative solutions to challenges for successful project resolution.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D with expertise in creating plan & profile drawings sections grading corridor design surface modeling and pipe network design. Develop models for water stormwater and wastewater piping systems as well as municipal roadway designs from initial concept through final implementation.
• Pond design in accordance with Stormwater Management (SWM) design criteria.
• Sewer design sheet preparation and coordinating with modeling analysis and design teams to ensure consistency across reports and technical deliverables.
• Generation of material quantities cost estimates tender documents and specifications with a desire to expand knowledge in this area.
• Prepare conflictfree design with understanding of utility parametersthrough clash detection ensuring effective utility coordination.
• Work on platforms like ProjectWise and ACC enhancing project management and collaboration.

What your experience looks like

• Bachelors Degree or C.E.T. with a minimum of 710 years of experience in Civil Land Development Site Civil or Utility Design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is a mandatory requirement.
• Ability to thrive in a fastpaced team environment managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication and reportwriting skills with the ability to prioritize and meet tight deadlines across multiple projects.
• Skilled in earthworks calculations and cost analysis.
• Understanding of various constraints (environmental design etc. and the ability to assess the impact and provide mitigation measures and make design decisions for these factors.
• Familiarity with the layout and design of Stormwater Management Systems.
• Experience in applying municipality and agencyspecific design specifications and criteria and the ability to apply these requirements to projects.
• Detailoriented with a strong focus on accuracy in all aspects of civil drainage and servicing design.
• CADD Drafting assessment to be completed online.
• Autodesk Certified Professional in Civil 3D is preferred or the ability to achieve certification within the first 3 months.
