What Youll Do
SimpliSafe is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a backend focus to join ourAuthorization and Messaging Platform team. We embrace modern software design and
craftsmanship and support and own our work through its entire lifecycle. In this roleyoull take ownership of the messaging tools and CIAM platform that our engineering
staff use every day to build our products that keep our customers safe everythingfrom daytoday bug squashing to the technical design and architecture of authorization
and messaging products.
What Youll Bring
Candidates should have experience successfully shipping complex highlyscalable applications that require coordination with other engineering teams andproduct owners.
Experience developing applications with either or both Customer Identity andAccess Management (CIAM) systems (Auth0 Keycloak Cognito Firebase etc)or distributed data stores for messaging (Kafka RabbitMQ etc)
A solid understanding in core web and browser concepts (e.g. how the browserparses and constructs a web page)
Writing web services at scale using at least one of Nodejs Rust Java GoPython
Extensive experience with REST and web technology.
NicetoHaves:
Previous coding experience in Rust is a huge plus as we are nourishing a Rustecosystem within the company.
Experience working on products in safetycritical environments.
Extensive experience as a practitioner of continuous integration & delivery testautomation etc.
Experience with cloud technologies and relevant methodologies such asinfrastructureascode DevOps etc.
