We are seeking aNetwork Security Engineer to join our team in Brussels.
Key Responsibilities :
- Fulfill service requests related to network operations.
- Provide 2nd level incident responseand escalate issues to vendors when necessary.
- Contribute to problem management including root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support lifecycle management activitiesfor network services ensuring efficiency and compliance with best practices.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new services and network solutions.
- Manage configuration changesand ensure documentation is up to date.
- Design and implement network management systemsand other operational tools:
- Define architecture and evaluate market solutions.
- Conduct proof of concepts and preproduction testing.
- Implement new solutions for operations including:
- Migrating new systems into production.
- Defining operational procedures and automating routine tasks.
- Develop and configure custom tools(e.g. webbased dashboards databases automation scripts).
- Evaluate quality and efficiency of operationsby defining and implementing metrics.
- Regularly monitor and analyze network performance metrics proposing measures for quality and efficiency improvements
- Proven experience in network operationsin a largescale environment.
- Strong knowledge of incident management request fulfillment and problem resolution.
- Handson experience with configuration managementin enterprise networks.
- Experience working with network management and monitoring tools.
- Good understanding of routing and switching technologies(BGP OSPF VLAN VPNs MPLS etc..
- Familiarity with firewall policies and security best practices(Cisco ASA Check Point FortiGate).
- Experience with automation and scripting(Python Ansible Terraform is a plus).
- Understanding of network performance monitoring and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Experience working with multivendor environments(Cisco Juniper Fortinet etc..
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work on problem resolution and service improvements.
- Bachelors or Masters degreein Computer Science Networks Telecommunications or equivalent.
- A relevant networking certification(e.g. CCNA CCNP NSE4 or equivalent) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Fluency in English (C Level)is required.
- Handson experience with network automation tools.
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS Azure or hybridcloud solutions).
- Understanding of container networking (Kubernetes Docker).
- Experience with network telemetry and monitoring tools.
- Exposure to SDN and network virtualization(NSX Cisco ACI).
Other requirements:
- EU Citizenship.
- Resident or available to relocate to Belgium.
