Primary function is to deliver high quality patient care while producing diagnostic radiographs and performing and/or assisting physicians in interventional/invasive procedures. Maintains records films and paperwork. Prepares maintains and operates radiologic and special procedure equipment in a safe and responsible manner following appropriate radiation safety guidelines. Assists in directing a multidisciplinary team across all levels from resident fellow APP nurse technologist and facilities maintenance Leads teams by assisting the Section Chief and IR Manager in dynamic group decision making.
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
Non Degree Program : Graduate from a twoyear AMA approved radiologic technology program. (Required)
Experience
5 years experience as a dedicated VIR technologist working in a dedicated academic IR environment that includes a busy trauma center and inpatient and outpatient environment or comparable (Required)
General Experience and a full understanding of JCAHO readiness rules and requirements sterile procedures universal protocols (Required)
License/Certifications
RT(R) Reg Technologist (R) (Required)
BLS Basic Life Support (Required)
RT(VI) Reg Technologist (VI) (Preferred)
RT(CV) Reg Technologist (CV) (Preferred)
This position is for an experienced Interventional Technologist for FullTime day shift position. Must be willing to rotate call on weekdays and weekends. There is a required rotation/call to our other facility Womens and Family Hospital. Must have current RT/ARRT and BLS.
