About the job

Were looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our Sales organization in the UK with a view to servicing customers in the UK Ireland and potentially also some Nordic customers. By joining us in this role you will take ownership of accounts within the Commercial industry; primarily in Retail CPG Mining Manufacturing & Services. You will be responsible for some established customers and to generate new business development within Enterprise accounts to orchestrate teams and to drive increase business value for our customers through the use of data AI and analytics solutions. The role is approximately 50 existing 50 new customers. Were looking for an Account Executive who is ready to walk into a room backed by 40 years of analytics excellence and innovation. We need someone who is passionate about building authentic relationships with our customers wants to help solve our customers problems and is ready to drive sales of our worldclass solutions.

As a Senior Account Executive Commercial you will

  • Be responsible for achievement of total software and hosting revenue targets and management business objectives.
  • Manage and keep on growing an existing set of accounts within the Commercial industry.
  • Develop plans to identify areas that have the potential for further development and execute them by working with a wider team including presales support Solutions experts Services colleagues and by leveraging SAS Executive team.
  • Generate new business through strategicbased selling working with Marketing & your Business Development specialist and managing relationships with customers.
  • Sell software solutions and services to current and prospective customers; work with other sales/presales/domain/personnel to position and leverage sales opportunities.
  • Direct complex sales opportunities including implementation plans which include the coordination of internal and/or external services.
  • Prepare standard quotations and proposal information as needed; work with other departments to create and finalize contracts and set time schedules for delivery services.
  • Follow up with customers to track satisfaction levels and to discover additional revenue opportunities.

Required qualifications

  • Experience in selling complex software solutions and services to both business owners and IT stakeholders.
  • Whilst you will have Marketing and BD support you are expected to have experience driving a Prospecting plan and executing some of this prospecting yourself especially in terms of Clevel propositions reachout and engagement
  • Experience in driving sales processes within Enterprise accounts in the Commercial industry. If you dont have experience in the specific industries advertised then equivalent experience in other industries such as Telco Media Energy or Pharma could be equally relevant.
  • Demonstrated experience in account mapping and in navigating in complex ecosystem.
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate territory dynamics and develop a sales plan; ability to communicate technical and business concepts and relate them to SAS applications and user needs; ability to work independently and to lead an account team.
  • Knowledge of analytics solutions and/or Cloud and services preferred but it is not essential.
