We are seeking a dedicated and detailoriented Audiology Assistant to support our audiology team in providing exceptional hearing care services. The Audiology Assistant will work under the supervision of a Hearing Aid Specialist to assist with patient care administrative tasks and equipment maintenance ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for audiological testing including explaining procedures and answering basic questions.
Clean maintain and calibrate audiology equipment ensuring proper functionality and hygiene standards.
Manage patient records schedule appointments and handle billing or insurance documentation as needed.
Provide basic troubleshooting and maintenance instructions to patients for hearing aids.
Order supplies and maintain inventory of audiology materials.
Perform clerical duties such as answering phones greeting patients and managing correspondence.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in a healthcarerelated field preferred.
Previous experience in a medical or clinical setting is a plus but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all ages.
Basic computer proficiency for scheduling and recordkeeping.
Ability to follow instructions precisely and work collaboratively in a team environment.
Knowledge of hearing aids or audiology equipment is an advantage though training will be provided.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
Capable of lifting up to 20 pounds (e.g. equipment or supplies).
Work Environment:
This position is based in a clinical or office setting with regular patient interaction. Fulltime and parttime opportunities are available with a schedule determined by the needs of the practice.
