Your Challenge
EXP Services Inc. is searching for anElectrical Project Engineerto join our Electrical team our Markham ON office. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse engineering group in Central Canada poised for growth and challenging opportunities well into the future.
Your Responsibilities
- Act as single point of contact with client project managers for project scope definition schedule and budget requirements.
- Responsible for meeting firms engineering quality levels for discipline on assigned projects.
- Oversees development of design concepts by Designers and ensure proper application and .
- Verifies Designers work quality regarding specifications reports code application submittal review equipment selection deliverables and drawings.
- Mentors and encourages development of Designer level staff.
- Lead the design team to develop the Basis of Design (BOD) Schematic Design (SD) Design Development (DD) and Construction Documents (CD) that meet the project requirements within the allocated schedule and budget and use best practices.
- Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute all required aspects of discipline engineering.
- Manages work plans and deliverables on multiple projects within budgeted hours.
- Responsible for applying risk management practices to all projects.
- Writes studies and reports on electrical system work.
- Contributes to revisions of EXPs design standards and master specifications
The Skills Knowledge and Abilities We Seek
- The ideal candidate will have at least 5years of experience in the Electrical Engineering field.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree.
- Registered Professional Engineer
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Project etc. products and electrical design software
- Auto CAD experience required and REVIT MEP proficiency desired.
