Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Manager of Asset Protection Analytics and Investigations is responsible for leveraging analytics technology and investigative strategies to support Asset Protection operations investigations and risk mitigation efforts across the organization. This role provides analytical insights and investigative guidance for Field Asset Protection. Leads a team that utilizes multiple tactics including data link analysis surveillance activity controlled deliveries and exception based reporting to identify and resolve internal and external risk factors affecting shrink operational integrity and policy compliance. In addition this position will hold accountability for managing investigative competencies of Field Asset Protection as it relates to systemsdriven case identification exceptionbased reporting and data driven investigative strategies. This role will also oversee vendor management and systems administration for AP technologies ensuring tools and platforms effectively support investigative and loss mitigation initiatives. Responsible for strategic partnership planning and analytics to support the AP functions operating plan utilizing business intelligence to identify business needs for Asset Protection support and integration.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service for the organization.
  • Oversees vendor management and systems administration for AP related technologies ensuring seamless integration with investigative and loss prevention functions.
  • Hires develops and trains Investigations and Analytics staff.
  • Implements investigative and preventative processes to detect and mitigate shrink and policy violations through datadriven insights.
  • Develops and enhances exceptionbased reporting methodologies to proactively identify risk trends.
  • Utilizes analytics reporting tools and investigative methodologies to identify highrisk areas and optimize field and corporate AP and Ops strategies.
  • Develops best practices for investigative methodologies and outlines policies for loss control systems and field strategies.
  • Works with crossfunctional partners and AP leadership in strategic decision making to maximize profitability through loss prevention analytics investigative support and operational risk controls.
  • Enhances investigative processes by leveraging systembased insights and business intelligence to improve AP operations.
  • Owns vendor relationships and system performance oversight for AP related technology platforms ensuring they align with investigative and shrink mitigation strategies.
  • Leads and coordinates analytic efforts to support Business Units and fieldbased Asset Protection and Operations strategies.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive adoption of AP technology tools and investigative methodologies.
  • Monitors industry trends in AP analytics investigative technology and risk mitigation to enhance internal capabilities.
  • Develops and implements AP system improvements ensuring data integrity reporting accuracy and investigative efficiency.
  • Develops predictive models and investigative algorithms to identify highrisk situations and proactively address potential threats.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: Associate Degree
  • Preferred Degree: Bachelors Degree in Business Criminal Justice Data Analytics Cybersecurity or a related field.
  • Certificate(s) or License(s): LPC CFE or other relevant AP and investigative certifications preferred.
  • Years of experience: : 810 years of experience in Asset Protection Investigations AP Analytics or AP Technology Management with a blend of investigative and datadriven expertise.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Proven experience in AP analytics investigations and operational risk management.
  • Exception Based Reporting expertise (ThinkLP Appriss or similar EBR platforms).
  • Familiarity with fraud detection methodologies as they relate to broader AP analytics.
  • Vendor and contract management experience for AP technology solutions.
  • Experience with AP technology platforms including system administration troubleshooting and performance optimization.
  • Working knowledge of Genetec Security Center (or similar surveillance and investigative tools).
  • Data mining and visualization expertise (Power BI Tableau SQL or Python preferred).
  • Ability to design and implement investigative dashboards and reporting structures.
  • Proficiency in SQL or similar querybased tools to analyze investigative and operational data.
  • Ability to analyze complex data sets identify root causes and develop solutions.
  • Experience in evidence collection case development and investigative reporting.
  • Understanding of internal and external investigative processes including case documentation and law enforcement collaboration.
  • Ability to oversee AP system integrations working closely with IT and operational stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality and trust.
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written in a clear concise and strategic manner establishing effective working relationships with vendors customers coworkers and leadership.
  • Strong ability to interpret and present investigative findings analytics reports and business risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated leadership and training abilities particularly in analytics investigative technology and AP system utilization.
  • Experience coaching and training team members on AP tools and datadriven investigations.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.

  • Up to 25 based on need

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Develops objectives and general policies and procedures for a specific program or functional area of responsibility within the general scope of established operational goals and plans. Daytoday work and decisions do not require direction or review by immediate supervisor. End results are reviewed by supervisor.
