TITLE: Director of Couples Services

DEPARTMENT: Clinicians

REPORTS TO: Chief Operating Officer

LOCATION: Hybrid work arrangement from home office and any office location in Chicago Evanston Westchester or Northbrook

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT

THE ROLE

Reporting to the COO the directors fundamental responsibility is to build a thriving connected wellfunctioning team and programs as part of the larger organizational practice. The Director of Couples Services provides leadership with respect to talent recruitment and management organizational and financial planning clinical effectiveness and external relations.


ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Recruitment and Management including by not limited to:

  1. Identify staffing needs develop and implement staff recruiting plan
  2. Be a conduit for reciprocal communication that 1 supports TFI initiatives and polices 2 represents clinicians needs and concerns
  3. Support and mentor young clinicians
  4. Identify and facilitate professional development needs

Organizational and Financial Planning including by not limited to:

  1. Works with COO to establish and maintain annual financial plan
  2. Make recommendations re: teams members annual plan and raises
  3. Tracks and supports team to meet or exceed annual revenue targets
  4. Lead priority projects to advance the strategic plan for the organization

Clinical effectiveness including but not limited to:

  1. Support Coordinators & Program Directors to develop and improve clinical programs
  2. Work with Director of marketing to evaluate & implement strategies to drive referrals
  3. Interface with Operations re: administrative needs and to track and extract data for continuous improvement
  4. Conduct annual evaluations and guide clinicians to develop their skills
  5. Maintains thriving clinical practice

External Relations including but not limited to:

  1. Act as TFI Ambassadors to advance the mission vision and current initiatives
  2. Represent TFI to external relations outside stakeholders referral sources clinical partners Board members etc.
  3. Work with Director of External relations to assess fund raising opportunities and/or external facing PR and brand advancement
  4. Perform other duties as assigned by manager for business necessity

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and Skills

  1. Possess a training background and clinical experience that is empirically informed theoretically grounded and systemically oriented
  2. Understanding of personal and professional boundaries
  3. Organizational skills
  4. Time and stress management skills
  5. Communication skills to include interpersonal teamwork and collaboration skills
  6. Computer literacy
  7. Problemsolving skills

MINIMUM HIRING SPECIFICATIONS

  1. Doctoral or Masters degree in a licenseeligible discipline with a valid professional license
  2. Minimum 8 years postgraduate experience (internship postdoc fellowship applies) or comparable experience in a relevant discipline
  3. Experience as a couples therapist with an established referral base as well as experience mentoring and supervising clinical staff

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. Must be able to compose written reports clearly and effectively
  2. Must be able to be in a stationary position due to attention to computer screen
  3. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  4. The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer) to perform workrelated duties
  5. Must be able to apply established protocols in a timely manner
  6. Must be able to determine solutions to problems
  7. Must be able to operate successfully while handling multiple projects

Compensation is based on a number of factors including but not limited to: scope and responsibilities of the position; a candidates applicable work experience key skills and qualifications as well as internal and external market pay range for this fulltime exempt position is $105000.00 $140250.00/year.
