Job Summary: The event captain is a proven leader among their peers. Someone who has the awareness and conviction to guide the service team in seamlessly executing private and programming events from setup to reset. They might do this from behind the bar on the floor or as a supervisory capacity as needed depending on the complexity of the event.

Responsibilities
- Service and Employee Relations.
- Ensure smooth of all programming and private events adhering to guidelines set by BEO and ROS documents with the support of the club manager..
- Serve as the dayof point of contact for all event clients and coordinate a POC during any times of planned absence
- Act as a liaison between hourly staff and management team offering ideas to improve working conditions for employees.
- Communicates to dining room staff kitchen staff and club managers about event details.
- Checkout service teams side work and assign / inspect weekly duties.
- Act as a point person for new employee training prioritizing consistency with the Service Training Manual/Program.
- Continue to improve your command of wine beer and cocktail knowledge.
- Set a strong example for current and future staff modeling adherence to Common House policies and demonstrating our culture of hospitality. Correct staff behaviors if the situation calls for it.
- Be empowered to solve issues in the absence of a manager.
- General and Administrative Conduct
- Attends BEO Meetings.
- Closes out event consumption checks and emails to Club Manager and Event Director.
- Operating the club in full compliance with ABC regulations.
- Operate the bar program in full compliance with VDH regulations.
- Adhere to all employee policies outlined in the CH Employee Handbook
- Maintaining par levels of daily operating supplies and collateral
- Assist with monthly inventory if needed.
- Take ownership of storage areas to maintain organization of the club.
- Maintains proper count of cash registers and performs nightly audits
- Checking daily for damaged items in need of documenting in the CH Maintenance Journal
- Adopt a leadership style that is professional productive and positive
Education & Experience:
- Prior hospitality experience required
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must be proficient in all Front of House roles (server assistant server bartender concierge)
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient multitasking
- Ability to recall and memorize menu items
- Ability to work well in a highpaced and at times stressful environment
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of time walking standing and on ones feet. Must be able to carry 15 pounds repetitively.
