Salary Range: $130000.00 to $205000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately in determining your pay well consider your location experience and other jobrelated factors.

The Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) organization is responsible for managing relationships with millions of Merchants and Partners around the world that facilitate American Express acceptance and enabling the daytoday operations of our companys payment network.
The role of the Global Merchant & Network Pricing (GMNP) team is to design and implement global pricing strategies that support our coverage objectives and optimize our Discount Revenue. This revenue stream is the single largest source of American Express revenue and Merchant Pricing strategies play a key role in driving financial performance.
This role is part of the Pricing Infrastructure & Process Oversight team which enables pricing agility compliance and operational excellence through platform management governance and a dedicated Center of Excellence team.
The Director of Governance & Controls is responsible for:
- Leading internal and external audit activities for GMNP organization
- Partnering with Controls Management Compliance Risk and other organizations to ensure continued compliance with regulatory requirements
- Strengthening core pricing processes through a robust assessment and enhancement of our control environment
- Identifying both process and system/tool improvement opportunities to drive greater efficiency and ensure all key processes and procedures are welldocumented
- Partner with Smart Monitoring team to enhanceGMNP controls environment through automations and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
- 6 Years experience in audit controls management or businessrelated discipline
- Able to engage motivate and develop a team of highperforming highenergy colleagues; prior experience as a people leader is required
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a fastpaced highpressure environment
- Strong strategic decisionmaking and influencing skills with ability to assess key decision levers make recommendations and balance shareholder and customer objectives
- Excellent problemsolving skills with ability to translate complex technical terms into key insights with linkages to business strategies and objectives
- Superior written and oral communication and presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Bachelors degree required
