We are looking for a working Safety Manager who is dedicated to both internal and external customers alike to manage the overall Safety program . If you are someone who likes to lead from the side and bolster the employee experience for the betterment of the team and company we are looking for you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
- Conducts safety meetings audits and inspections to ensure compliance evaluate performance identify corrective action and implement follow up assessments.
- Plans implements and conducts preventative care safety and compliance training programs.
- Provides project management team with guidance on health and safety and confirm project site fulfills industry local state and federal guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborates with management to develop an Emergency Action Plan and serve as primary contact for project site injury and incident notification investigation and case management. Maintains a written log of safety inspection activities reports and correspondence.
- Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals internal policies and procedures contract documents and good engineering practices.
- Communicate safety policies and updates effectively across the organization
- Serve as a safety resource and advisor to all levels of the organization
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causesand handle workers compensation claims
- Recommend solutions to issues improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
- Report on health and safety awareness issues and statistics
Requirements - Bachelors degree in Safety Health Engineering or related discipline preferred or a combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years medium to large scale commercial government or industrial manufacturing facility including at least 3 years management level safety profession experience
- Proven experience asSafety Manager
- Current certifications in First Aid CPR OSHA 30hour Construction Safety and Industry Standards.
- Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies
- Good knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment
- Excellent organizational and motivational skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
