headspace Early Psychosis is friendly to young people and families. We will provide an accessible mental health service for young people struggling with hearing voices and unusual beliefs in partnership with the community. About the role
The Senior Clinician in headspace Early Psychosis CCT will provide clinical leadership to the team ensuring safe effective and efficient delivery of care. They will work within a multidisciplinary team supporting clinicians and coordinating client care. The role includes covering Access clinician duties during absences or peak demand. The Senior Clinician will serve as a role model translating policy into practice and leading service development and quality projects. Experience in diagnosing and providing interventions for young people with psychosis and substance issues is essential. The role also involves fostering a positive team culture supporting staff development and collaborating with other services. Reporting to the team leader and consultant psychiatrist the position includes supervision professional development and research responsibilities.
About you
- Approved tertiary qualifications in relevant discipline and eligibility for membership with the appropriate professional body
- Experience providing assessment and treatment of mental health disorders and alcohol and other drug disorders to young people and their families
- Experience in leading teams and effecting a positive multidisciplinary team environment.
- Experience working with a range of community agencies and ability to liaise with other service providers.
