Director of Out of School Enrichment Job Summary
The Director of Out of School Enrichment role is an integral part of the academic team ensuring that KIPP DC delivers on the promise to provide students with joyful productive learning and enrichment during out of school time. The starting salary range for this role is $103491 $114384. This is a full time fully onsite role based at HDQ with an immediate anticipated start date.

About the RoleThe Director of Out of School Enrichment is responsible for creating new partnerships and cultivating existing relationships to build improve and sustain program offerings to KIPP DC students and their families yearround. The Director of Out of School Enrichment is a highly collaborative role that also requires work across teams schools and external partnership streams to design implement and evaluate programs and services to generate the highestquality learning experiences for students. As a Director this position must also ensure adherence to established internal control policies and procedures and maintain compliance within the organization. Location and Type of WorkThis is an exempt position and will report to the Managing Director of Extended Learning & Enrichment.
As a headquarters team that is focused on being responsive to our schools and meeting the needs of our students and families we approach our work in a way that reflects these priorities. Schools operate in person and our students and families rely on us for inperson support which requires this position to be fully onsite. This role is currently required to be onsite or in schools during regular work hours. ResponsibilitiesProgram Management & Prioritization of Schoolbased Enrichment Programming
40 - Build and maintain strategic partnerships to ensure schools have diverse programs and services to meet the needs of KIPP DC students and their families.
- Manages the proposal contract and selection of outofschooltime enrichment programs for all 22 schools and programs
- Collaborates closely with each school leader to identify school programming needs
- Design implement and evaluate each program throughout the year
- Manage the enrichment program budget; ensure school sites are managing enrichment budgets to fidelity
- Ensure enrichment and aftercare programming meets all guidelines set by external authorizers as well as internal policies and procedures
- Ensure strong communication to stakeholders
- Ensure inclusive decision making about program offerings with key stakeholders
- Manage partnerships to ensure successful relationships and service or program delivery
- Share program highlights to promote the engagement in and success of enrichment programs
Program Management & Prioritization of Before care after care and summer programming 60 - Collaborate with school leaders and network leaders to plan for oncampus and offcampus options for KIPP DC students for before and aftercare needs.
- Ensure programs meet all licensing contractual and quality management standards and requirements from OSSE through having or developing a deep knowledge of regulations around before and aftercare including staffing ratios and other requirements.
- Support leaders of aftercare and beforecare programs to implement best practices in service delivery
- Identify timely summer needs of students and their families and engage external partners to provide complementing summer opportunities on and offcampuses.
- Oversee all components of the summer camps operation.
- Develop student recruitment strategies for summer programming and create equitable student selection and enrollment processes
- Direct and maintain multiple camp programs daytoday operations policies and procedures to support and monitor existing summer camp partnerships to ensure fruitful relationships that facilitate highquality and safe environments for students and staff. Recruit hire train and supervise summer camp leads and coordinators to oversee the daytoday activities of onsite camp programs.

- Manage partnerships to ensure successful relationships and service or program delivery; Mediate disputes between partners and families or school community members.
Requirements & PreferencesRequired Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- 6 years of relevant experience (i.e. program management enrichment program planning nonprofit program coordination etc)

- Strong communication skills; work effectively and cultivate relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and an ability to take initiative receive feedback and seek out creative ideas
- Strong time management skills and a detail and resultsoriented team player who is dedicated to getting the job done
- Successful track record of collaboratively working with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external
- Experience with budget management
Physical Requirements
- Ability to travel to and between campuses and our headquarters office as well as to partner locations in the District Maryland Virginia region
- Flexibility to work outside normal business hours or weekends in the event of a program crisis.
