Responsibilities

As the IT Support Technician you will install maintain test and repairs systems and networks. You will support IT initiatives and provide technical support to local and remote employees. This is a highly interactive inperson position serving our corporate office in Bee Cave TX.

How you can make an impact:

  • System Maintenance: Assist in the installation configuration and maintenance of hardware software and network systems.

  • User Support: Provide first or secondlevel technical support to endusers addressing issues related to desktops laptops peripherals and software applications.

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems escalating more complex issues to senior administrators when necessary.

  • Documentation: Create and update documentation for system configurations troubleshooting procedures and user guides.

  • Security: Implement and monitor security measures to protect systems and data including user access controls and antivirus solutions.

  • Backup and Recovery: Assist in implementing and managing backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.

  • Updates and Patching: Assist in applying software updates patches and firmware upgrades to ensure systems are uptodate and secure.

  • Monitoring: Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to maintain a stable and reliable IT environment.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to resolve technical issues implement solutions and contribute to IT projects.

  • User Training: Provide basic training to endusers on new systems applications and IT best practices.

  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of IT assets including hardware and software licenses.

  • Work closely with employees including the executive team to resolve issues
  • Partner with other corporate services departments (Human Resources and Accounting/Finance) ensuring new employees have necessary equipment and technology configured and set up to be productive on their first day at EPE.
  • Assist in documenting SOPs procedures policies SOCrelated documents etc.
  • Maintains current knowledge with respect to technology equipment applicable laws regulations standards and/or systems.
  • Monitor Service Desk Ticket System; prioritize and schedule resolution of each desktop support ticket for region. Keep request status up to date and tickets moving to resolution.
  • Provide proactive equipment maintenance to make sure PCs/ Laptops printers and other hardware are functioning properly. Take measures to avoid downtime and monitor to keep things running smoothly.
  • Perform daily floor surveys to proactively identify if end user support needs.
  • Proactively communicate with satellite sites to identify support needs.

Qualifications

Bring your passion heres whats needed:

  • A degree in Information Technology Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • 35 years of experience is required.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A Microsoft Certified: Windows 10 Azure or AWS certifications.
  • Technical Knowledge: Intermediate understanding of IT systems including hardware operating systems networking and software applications.
  • Outstanding customer service patience and professionalism.
  • Demonstrated ability to explain complex technological concepts and ideas to those without a background in information technology.
  • Experience working with the following technologies: Windows Desktop & Server MS 365 laptops docking stations servers firewalls VPNs wireless internet multidisplay setups switches etc.
  • Experience dealing with external vendors such as MSPs internet providers equipment vendors etc.
  • Reliable personal transportation with a valid drivers license.
  • Ability to lift/move equipment up to 50lbs.
  • Regular use of stairs in 3story segmented work environment.
