The Opportunity:

We have several career opportunities available for Early Childhood Teachers within our Early Learning Centres in the Darwin and Palmerston regions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Management: Lead inspire and develop a highperforming team dedicated to delivering exceptional service and programs.

• Risk Management: Support the Director and team to implement and oversee risk management strategies to ensure a safe and secure environment in accordance with relevant legislation.

• Program Delivery: Design and deliver innovative programs for children that encapsulate social emotional and developmental needs of our diverse community.

• Project Planning: Work in collaboration with the Director and senior management to implement both longterm and shortterm projects for the successful operation of the service including program development and strategies for longterm success.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Develop engage and collaborate to improve local relationships while identifying partnerships programs and events that may benefit the community and the Y.

• Fostering Inclusiveness: Maintain a clean welcoming and open environment for all members of staff and the community.

Qualifications and Experience

• Early Childhood qualification or working towards.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as an Early Childhood Teacher or 5 years as a diploma qualified educator/group lead.
• Current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID012 and CPR

Mandatory Requirements

• Valid Working with Children Clearance.
• Satisfactory Criminal History Check.

Any successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Safeguarding Children and Young People framework which includes a thorough safeguarding children and young people induction and a commitment to upholding the safety and wellbeing of children and young people throughout their engagement with YMCA.
