Job Description
Padres Baseball & Softball Camps Coach/Counselor
Padres Baseball Camps is now hiring Coaches for our summer youth baseball and softball camps throughout San Diego County.
Padres Summer Camps is looking for summer camp coaches in San Diego County who are energetic positive and who love to inspire our youth to make good choices and be accountable for their actions and decisions all while having a great time! We provide the equipment training and curriculum. You provide the leadership that will help our campers have a wonderful learning experience and leave camp with a love of the game new friends better baseball/softball skills and an appreciation for the importance of personal accountability.
We have a number of different positions available for our baseball and softball camps from Coach to Site Director and we need a variety of coaching skill levels to enhance the experience for ages 4 through 13.

We are looking for team members who:
- Have experience working with children ages 413
- Have experience coaching and/or playing baseball/softball at a high school level or higher
- Have a passion for teaching and providing quality leadership in an engaging and energetic way
- Are able to connect with children both oneonone and in a group setting
- Lead by example with strong character integrity and a positive attitude
- Are dependable and reliable; someone we can count on to be there no matter what.
- Know how to have a lot of fun!!
Core Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe camp environment for all campers
- Manage and motivate campers to have fun each day of camp
- Execute San Diego Padres Baseball Camps Curriculum daily under the direction of the Site Director
- Provide feedback and suggestions during drills and games
- Highlight teachable moments for campers to learn and grow from
- Work together with other team members from various backgrounds to uphold the Padres Baseball Camps stellar reputation
Qualifications for all coaching positions:
- Be prepared to make a commitment MondayFriday for approximately eight hours per day preferably for a minimum 35 week commitment
- Padres Baseball & Softball Camps run every week from June 9 2025 to August 15 2025
- Be prepared to travel to each site with reliable transportation of your own
- Be able to pass a comprehensive background screening
- NCBA Members or University Club Baseball experience is a plus

Our Interview Process:
After your application is submitted here is what you can expect next:

- Complete a 15 minute virtual interview with our MLB Camps Director
- Final decision!
Compensation:
Pay is based on skill level and experience.
- Professional Educator: $20.00/hour (please note you must have at least 1 school year of paid teaching experience and/or provide proof of teaching certification in order to be eligible for this hourly wage).
- College Student/Recent Graduate:$17.25/hour
