Outreach Short Courses Summer Employment Opportunities Flexible Schedules/Various positions
Were excited to offer a variety of employment opportunities this summer for our Outreach Short Courses! These programs provide students ages 1222 who are blind or visually impaired with the opportunity to participate in a wide range of academic social and recreational activities all while receiving instruction in essential areas of the Expanded Core Curriculum (ECC). Participants will live in dormitorystyle accommodations and take on responsibilities such as managing independent living routines personal space meal preparation and other aspects of group living. These courses create a safe and supportive environment where students are empowered to develop new skills build positive peer relationships and gain confidence through enriching experiences.
Join our team and help make this summer a memorable and impactful experience for our students! Both fulltime and parttime temporary positions are available with flexible shifts and dates from June to August 2025.

Responsibilities:
You will provide instruction supervision and support services in your area of expertise for individuals or groups of mainstream students who are blind visually impaired and who have multiple impairments. In addition the following may be required of all full time direct service teaching staff:
Lesson plan development and material/resource gathering in advance of the program.
Work with students on campus at job sites in classes at meals and in the community.
Attendance at regular staff meetings to be held after classes end.
Attendance at staff orientation training and student orientation. (Prior to Programs)
Attendance at cottage/program cleanup and final staff meeting.
Reports and/or checklists must be written prior to the programs conclusion and will require additional meeting time.
Accommodations:
Limited number of beds in a shared living environment available on the Perkins campus.
Housing is in exchange for additional unpaid duties. Individuals will be responsible for their own food shopping laundry and the upkeep of the living space. Individuals who would like to be considered to live on campus should indicate so on their application.
Pay & Schedules:
$17.34 $23.64 per hour
6 8 or 12 hour day evening or overnight shifts and weekends available
Role specific: SundayThursday; MondayFriday; WednesdaySunday; or an alternate variation of coverage as needed for program/staff
Flexibility as needed
Work Location: In person Watertown MA
