The Opportunity

The Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS) is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lecturer (Practice) to join the Centre for Medicine Use and Safety. In this key role you will be responsible for developing and preparing educational materials and training programs for practicing healthcare professionals including General Practitioners Pharmacists and Nurses with a focus on optimizing medication use in clinical practice.

Drawing on your professional experience within the Australian healthcare system you will collaborate with professional bodies industry stakeholders and government organizations on the critical topic of Quality Use of Medicines and Medicines Safety. You will leverage your expertise to inform educational design strengthen ties between Monash University and healthcare professionals and contribute to the broader goal of improving medication safety and health outcomes.

This position will support the program Educating Health Professionals through a Knowledge Transfer Framework to Reduce Use of HighRisk and/or Unnecessary Medicines funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care under the Quality Use of Diagnostics Therapeutics and Pathology program.
