Experience
1 Year Relevant work experience such as experience with Medical or Healthcare Patient Access Customer Service Call Center or other relevant work experience REQUIRED and
Epic Cadence experience preferred and
Medical order processing or handling preferred and
Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred
Skills
EPIC EMR experience. Trace experience. Order processing. Demonstrated excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of personal computers required. Analytical and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. Ability to present and communicate with different levels of business partners. Work cohesively within a team. What you will do:
Review orders for appropriateness completeness and validity. Refers to the THR Enterprise Scheduling Permissions to determine scheduling status. Assess appropriateness of diagnosis. ICD 10 assessment. Assess medical appropriateness of services ordered. Transcribe orders for specific entitydeemed as operational task.
Ensure accurate and necessary data sets are present on all orders. Each order should be verified to meet the outpatient services policy for orders. Stays abreast of and complies with applicable regulations entity and/or system policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively with physician offices on incomplete orders. Build relationships with physician offices to further then advancement of the department objectives. Communicate effectively with clinical department for complex cases and review of protocols. Respond to mail fax or telephone inquires and seek assistance as appropriate. Establish and maintain working relationships with staff doctors offices and other internal and external departments to deliver services.
Parse and index incoming orders to appropriate destination
Responsible for reporting to work on time and as scheduled per THRs Time and Attendance Policy. Adhere to system hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Responsible for attending and participating in departmental meetings throughout the year. Participate in any additional meetings as requested by leadership and completing MyTalent educational requirements and THR requirements by the established deadline.
