Were looking to grow our Sourcing team to further improve upon our quotation process processing and expediting of nonstock/nonstandard product enquiries and managing major account customer transactions. Ultimately the successful internal candidate will work as part of the Sourcing team to increase profitability and effectiveness by maintaining optimal stock levels of quality stock and nonstock products at all times.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Review of client supply requirement against capability of approved suppliers for identification / selection of suitable vendor.
- Engagement with approved suppliers to secure formal offers on strategic supply requirements.
- Collation and submission of formal quotations through FileBound or other approved company process / form.
- Engagement with sales functional groups to secure feedback on all open quotations.
- The procurement of nonstock/nonstandard products or materials from approved suppliers in line with company policy procedure and customers supply requirements.
- Regular expediting of all open orders with suppliers.
- The development and management of approved suppliers.
- Provide data analysis and reporting as required.
- Support all functional areas to resolve customer complaints in a timely manner where applicable in consultation with relative suppliers.
- Develop and maintain a sound knowledge of products relative to dedicated sourcing portfolio.
To be successful you must be able to demonstrate:
- Demonstrated experience in procurement warehouse and inventory management (preferably in stainless steel/resources industry).
- Organised and detail oriented with the ability to effectively prioritise work with strict timelines.
- A strong customer focus.
- The ability to work effectively within the Prochem family.
- That you possess the values that we at Prochem hold dear.
- A high level of computer literacy numeracy skills and be diligent when it comes to accuracy and communication.
- Working knowledge of management software programs including Pronto FileBound Phocas.
