Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of conceptual design alternatives into contract plans specifications and construction estimates for highway roadway bridge interchange and draining projects
- Assist in the design of ADA compliant facilities including sidewalks shareduse paths and intersection curb ramps
- Assist in the design and production of traffic control and staging plans and traffic signing and striping plans
- Assist in the production of engineering reports and other technical documents
- Attend occasional field visits and meetings to gather data or assist in construction inspections
- Create 2D and 3D design models with computer design software such as: AutoCAD OpenRoads and AutoTurn
- Work in coordination with H&H offices across the country to deliver projects that make roads safer
Requirements - Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT certification and prior internship experience (preferred)
- Zerothree years of experience
- Microstation V8i Bentley OpenRoads experience (preferred)
- Experience with CTDOT and/or the CTDOT Highway Design Manual (preferred)
- Strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in cooperative team environments
