- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering
- Must be a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in good standing and registered with APEGA. Applicants in a different Canadian jurisdiction eligible for InterProvincial Mobility (IPMA) with APEGA may be considered. Registration with APEGA must be obtained prior to commencement of employment
- Minimum three 3 years of progressively responsible experience in an industrial environment including experience with electrical power distribution equipment and systems electrical studies maintenance engineering and project delivery experience.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance requirements for electrical systems

You will contribute to key initiatives like the Landfill Gas Control Building sitewide power plan upgrades the Integrated Processing & Transfer Facility (IPTF) plant enhancements and Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) implementation. What will you do:
- Participate in plant expansion design reviews and set design (scope) requirements
- Review tender packages engineering work packages and construction work packages developed by consulting firms to ensure compliance COE design standards and guidelines and provide cursory checks against applicable electrical codes
- Actively support project managers by: performing site visits documenting project progress reviewing Requests for Information (RFI) as circulated for owner comment by consultants working with stakeholders and reviewing equipment specifications and operating conditions
- Participate in electrical completion and commissioning for new capital projects ensuring systems meet design intent
- Work with the Senior Electrical Engineer and Industrial Control & Instrumentation Engineer identify and plan electrical equipment modifications replacements and rehabilitation initiatives
- Review documentation from historical and current projects use engineering experience to identify technical documents and review and classify them according to established guidelines prior to upload into the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS)
- Develop and maintain procedures and guidelines for uploading documents into the EDMS including: numbering revisioning tracking and progress reporting
- Maintain the project database and work to improve its integration into the Technical Services web page
- Work with the Senior Electrical Engineer and Operations staff identify new technologies and resources that could be used to improve production efficiencies and process safety on site at the EWMC
- Develop and implement electronic tools such as forms and dashboards that can be used to improve engineering procedures and reporting
- Electrical and control design recommendations
- Root cause analysis of electrical distribution or control equipment failures
- Field verification (classification photos etc. of existing infrastructure or site conditions
- Perform other related duties
