Job Description

Please note that this role is for an initial period of 12 months with a possibility of extension.

Location: this role can be based in either our London or Carlisle offices.


Hemiko are recruiting a Junior Growth Manager to support the Growth Department.

Hemikos Growth Department is focused on driving the growth of Hemiko in the UK by making our heat networks bigger and growing Hemikos presence in the UK heat networks market.

You will be working within our Growth Department across a multidisciplinary role offering lots of opportunity for growth and personal development.

We are looking for a candidate with strong communication skills that is organised motivated and willing to learn. Hemiko is a rapidly growing company so the successful candidate must bring versatility and enthusiasm to help us grow.

About Hemiko

Hemiko is the leading UK heat networks utility provider.

We are a fastgrowing innovative business which is looking to invest in and deliver over 1bn of heat network projects. These are major infrastructure projects that will decarbonise heating for homes and businesses. Our vision is to deliver zonal scale heat networks across towns and cities to decarbonise the UK and deliver excellence for customers whilst we do it.

We are looking to lead on town and city scale decarbonisation. We recognise that the decarbonisation of heating and the built environment is one of the most complex areas of decarbonisation this is where we are focused and where we will be deploying our investment and our resource.

We are currently developing city scale heat networks across the UK including Westminster Old Oak Park Royal Lincoln Worthing and Wolverhampton. We have growing networks at Worthing Clapham and Springfield.

The Team

The Growth Department is led by Charlotte Owen (Growth Director). Sitting within the Growth Team are the Connections External Affairs and Bidding teams.

  • The Connections Team are responsible for securing customers to Hemiko heat networks that are developing and expanding.
  • The External Affairs Team look after communications social value and policy development.
  • The Bidding Team are tasked with producing proposals to win new zonal scale heat network opportunities and secure new customers or contract work.

The Role

As a Junior Growth Manager your responsibility will be to provide support the Growth Department. You will principally focus on Connections working closely with our Connections Team to support them to manage and cultivate relationships with stakeholders across our heat networks projects. You will ultimately help them to secure new customers. You will develop skills in engagement sales marketing negotiation and presenting.

You will also support the Bidding Team to develop new proposals to help us win new work. Some support may be required to support External Affairs such as proofreading press releases or developing stakeholder maps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attending key meetings producing notes and action trackers
  • Managing shared mailboxes across our projects
  • Keeping our connections trackers up to date
  • Driving forward and tracking actions across our projects and helping the team to manage and meet deadlines
  • Researching and mapping key stakeholders and customers
  • Representing Hemiko at events including presenting to schools and colleges
  • Completing proposal templates for new customers
  • Managing our SharePoint folders and ensuring that core information is stored safely and securely
  • Coordinationof meetings and preparation of meeting materials
  • Preparing information to support our reporting including our Board Reporting
  • Ensuring consistent branding across Hemiko documents
  • Coordinating the delivery of proposals and managing internal stakeholders to ensure their delivery
  • Being responsible for document control for the team
  • Supporting the identification and coordination of social value opportunities and commitments
  • Taking people round on tours of our sites
  • Events management and support
  • Ad hoc support as required.


Candidate

  • You will be an organised person who will take responsibility for making sure that your duties are fulfilled on time and to a high standard.
  • You will be a confident communicator both written and verbally with an ability to establish good working relationships with multiple points of contact.
  • You will have an eye for detail and ability to work to tight deadlines by prioritising tasks accordingly.
  • You will be a curious person with strong problemsolving capabilities.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite. Proficiency with MS Word and PowerPoint is a must.


Remuneration and Info

  • Remuneration: Base up to 33500 depending on experience pro rata.
  • Discretionary bonus based on individual and business performance (full time roles only)
