About the role
To help cement Australias strong position as a prime leisure and business destination were looking for a dynamic and friendly individual to join the team in a temporary fulltime 12month maternity leave coverage role as Aussie Specialist Program Digital Coordinator to help represent and market one of the most beautiful countries in the world Australia!
Tourism Australia recognises the important role that front line travel sellers play in bringing visitors to Australia. The Aussie Specialist Program is the interactive online training platform Tourism Australia uses to educate update and motivatefront line sales agents to sell Australia.
You will be responsible for delivering and achieving the following:
- Recruiting new agents in the UK and German markets to register for the program driving conversion from registration to qualification as well as driving overall engagement of the wider website and tracking analysing and reporting on performance.
- All retail/distribution sales training programs for agents within the relevant market/s (UK and Germany) on behalf of Tourism Australia and the eight State & Territory Tourism Organisations.
- Providing valuable market insights to Tourism Australia and State & Territory Tourism Organisations
- Gathering content from State & Territory Tourism Organisations and localising for the UK and German markets where required and then publishing this content through theAussie Specialist Program website and channels.
- Reviewing Aussie Specialist Program courses and creating content in German language.
- Identifying any gaps in the local content on the Aussie Specialist Program and work with stakeholders to address and rectify those issues.
- Attend product trade consumer & industry updates from Australian suppliers inmarket.
- Work together with the local Aussie Specialist Program trainers to complete reports of key training activities and insights from those trained.
- Prepare monthly reports on activities and performance of the Aussie Specialist Program platform and website addressing KPIs and potential performance issues.
- Write and publish all agreed local Aussie Specialist Program content pieces to market including newsletters adhoc email blasts and other communications.
- Ensure supplier and Aussie Specialist databases are kept up to date and accurate.
While there is a preference for a Londonbased candidate as the role remit covers both UK and Germany there is potential for flexibility with candidate to be based in (Frankfurt) Germany.

- As the role remit covers the UK and Germany excellent English and German language skills are essential.
- Excellent Australian destination and product knowledge is highly desirable
- Sound knowledge of the UK and German tourism markets
- Digital marketing experience
- Previous experience with publishing online content producing clear and persuasive documents with an ability to tailor content to ensure all documents are audience appropriate.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to foster and develop relationships with strong communication skills across various stakeholder groups
- Excellent organization skills along with the ability to solve problems in a positive manner
- An ability to travel within the role
- Ability to manage and reprioritise competing deadlines and priorities working to short deadlines
- An ability to analyse data and extract key information.
