Heartbeet is a vibrant lifesharing Camphill community and licensed therapeutic residence that includes adults with developmental disabilities and interweaves the social and agricultural realms for the healing and renewing of our society and the earth. Community members live and work together in beautiful extended family households forming a mutually supportive environment that enables each individual to discover and develop his or her unique abilities and potential.

Length of Service: 2 years minimum
Description:
As a Heartbeet longterm coworker you will be expected to live with and assist friends or individuals with developmental disabilitiesin all aspects of their daily life including home artistic and skillbased programs and administrative roles for a commitment of at least 3 years.
Main Duties:
You will be provided training and guidance to enable you to perform these tasks and other tasks:
- Assisting with personal / hygiene care
- Offering physical and emotional support
- Creating social opportunities
- Promoting social harmony
- Facilitating medical care
- Participating in recreational activities
- Performing household tasks such as cooking housecleaning and laundry
- Participating in the residential artistic and vocational activities
- Managing household budgets
- Maintainingrecords
Requirements:
- Criminal Background Clearances
- Health Screening
- Valid Drivers License
- Selfmotivated ability to organize completetasks work within a team environment and accept supervision.
- Interest in living in environment that supports individuals of allabilities.
Basic Living Needs:
- Room and Board
- Use of carinternet
- Monthly Allowance
- Weekly: personal day / evening
- Annually: 21 days oftime off
Training provided:
- Fire Safety & Emergency Preparedness.
- First Aid / CPR
- Therapeutic caregiving skills
- Participation in our ongoing training program.
- Compassionate Communication.
