Job Description

A personal injury law firm is seeking a highly experience personal injury litigation paralegal with trial and leadership experience to join their thriving North Haven CT office.

DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Intakes and organizes case files for new and existing clients
  • Maintains case management system by uploading all client documents
  • Keeps clients informed on a regular basis by maintaining contact with client; communicating case progress
  • Supports case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences preparing pleadings etc.
  • Monitor and obtain discovery responses
  • Request medical records from providers
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 5 years experience as a paralegal or case manager litigating personal injury cases
  • Full knowledge of Connecticut civil procedure
  • Able to step into an active caseload
  • Personal Injury trial experience a MUST
  • Workers Compensation is a plus
  • Experience using a case management system
  • Strong Microsoft applications (Outlook Word Excel)
  • Ability to manage a large caseload in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong ability to multitask and strong organizational skills
  • Strong client/colleague communication skills
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
