Job Description
A personal injury law firm is seeking a highly experience personal injury litigation paralegal with trial and leadership experience to join their thriving North Haven CT office.
DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Intakes and organizes case files for new and existing clients
- Maintains case management system by uploading all client documents
- Keeps clients informed on a regular basis by maintaining contact with client; communicating case progress
- Supports case preparation by preparing case summaries and materials for mediation conferences preparing pleadings etc.
- Monitor and obtain discovery responses
- Request medical records from providers
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS :
- 5 years experience as a paralegal or case manager litigating personal injury cases
- Full knowledge of Connecticut civil procedure
- Able to step into an active caseload
- Personal Injury trial experience a MUST
- Workers Compensation is a plus
- Experience using a case management system
- Strong Microsoft applications (Outlook Word Excel)
- Ability to manage a large caseload in a fastpaced environment
- Strong ability to multitask and strong organizational skills
- Strong client/colleague communication skills
- Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment
