Summaryof Position:The Operations Specialists job is to provide assistancein everyday operations of a warehouse. The assistant is responsible for theefficient manner in which the warehouse is running and for this to happen mustperform various activities.
Duties andResponsibilities:
- Handle and operate necessary tools to maintain and manage a warehouse
- Load and unload delivery trucks
- Check quantity and type of goods received against bill of lading
- Notify sender of any damaged or missing goods
- Help plan efficient use of warehouse space
- Label organize and record location of goods in warehouse for efficient access
- Keep neat and clean warehouse premises
- Monitor warehouse stock and reorder as needed
- Ship goods as needed
- Monitor and manage inventory control
- Prepare dispatch notes and labels upon requests
- Prepare goods for daily pickup by freight companies
- Compare shipping rates to find the most efficient and economical option
- Communicate clearly with manufacturers distributors and sales reps
- Quality control of goods in and/or goods out
- Perform crystal pressing process on our products as needed
Qualifications:
- Proficient skills with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel
- Some knowledge of warehouse environment
- Selfmotivated and detailed organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities to achieve results
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
WorkingConditions:Able tophysically lift boxes from 20lbs to 50lbs and comfortable with the use of toolssuch as knifes and scissors.
