The Department Coordinator for the Youth Program is responsible for organizing and maintaining the operational functions of the Youth programs and to serve as a liaison and resource for students faculty and staff in the departments overall function. This position functions as an alternate for the face and voice of the Director when not immediately available.
Effective Date: Part Time: 06/09/2025 to Seasonal Full Time: 06/23/2025 08/20/2025
REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:
The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The daytoday duties required of this position may vary.
Assist with answering general questions in the lead up to program kick off
Assist with the scheduling of classes and programs for all Summer Youth programs
Responsible for upkeep of spreadsheets regarding valuable student information such as: food allergies medical insurance waivers and contact students for submission of information if needed
Assist with overall camp planning transportation activities food tickets permits etc
Attend/Assist orientation/registration days throughout Summer
Day to day contact with parents and students in nonemergency situations
Supervise day to day operations on location/on campus when Director is not present
Supervise students well being and overall program engagement
Communicate any actual or anticipated obstacles with Director and support in managing them
Obtain and organize attendance for each class
Distribute weekly schedules to instructors
Perform Receptionist duties and facilities support
Maintaining flexibility amongst competing priorities and last minute changes
Support Youth Office Admissions Post Department Residential Director and or Equipment Room
Assist with program start dates and graduation preparation
Organize and maintain Office supplies and materials
Respond to any inquiries by phone or email from students parents or staff in timely manner
Assist with other duties as assigned by Camp Director Assistant Director or Senior Administration
KNOWLEDGE AND COMPETENCIES:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Creative thinker with the ability to manage multiple projects
Ability to work with diverse groups of students staff parents and community members
Event planning background and or highly organized
Ability to think creatively and quickly to solve problems
Bachelors degree preferred
Experience and or comfortable working with teenagers and kids is a MUST
Minimum 21 years of age
EXPERIENCE EDUCATION CERTIFICATION:
Bachelors degree preferred
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Suites Google Suites Excel
Film/video production experience strongly preferred.
