Description

The Role

Child Protection Workers specialize in developing plans with families to ensure the safety of children and youth through assessment and collaboration. They receive assess and respond to concerns of child abuse and neglect by interviewing parents children and youth assessing strengths and needs working with appropriate agencies developing safety plans and determining if children or youth are in need of protection.

*Positions in Nanaimo (float) Kelowna (float) Vernon and Salmon Arm may not have immediate vacancies but eligibility lists will be established for future vacancies.

*NOTE: Applicants assigned to Hope while on the East Fraser Float will be on travel status which would include reimbursement for mileage and lunch per diem.

About this Position:

Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two 2 days at home per week as per the Telework Agreement
