Job Description
The Cohen lab studies the dynamics and function of intracellular organelles in the context of normal development and neurodegenerative disease. We use advanced microscopy techniques including livecell imaging multispectral imaging and superresolution microscopy. A lab technician is needed to perform cell biology research. Responsibilities will include lab management duties and independent research developing and applying custom image analysis pipelines to microscopy data. Research tasks will include developing Pythonbased data analysis pipelines to measure and visualize the morphology and spatial relationships among organelles; testing and debugging analyses codes; using these analyses pipelines to analyze microscopy data; and contributing to manuscripts and educational resources explaining how to use the analysis pipelines.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Lab experience; coding in Python; experience with microscopy image analysis.
