Manufacturing Designer
Columbus OH
Connect Housing Blocks is currently searching for a fulltime Manufacturing Designer to join their team in Columbus Ohio. We are revolutionizing the housing industry manufacturing multistory prefabricated modular apartment housing in Columbus Ohio by providing highquality affordable housing. The Manufacturing Designer is responsible for optimizing production processes improving efficiency and ensuring the highest level of product quality.

- Pay: $60000 $70000/year offer dependent on experience
Schedule:
- Monday Friday
- 7:30 AM 4:30 PM
- In office
The right candidate will have:
- Minimum associates degree in architecture engineering CAD Design or manufacturing required
- Two years or more experience in Building Information Modeling concepts and strategies required
- Ability to interact clearly and effectively in both written and oral communication with vendors management coworkers in English
- Spanish proficiency preferred but not required
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing software tools preferred
- Experience with machine controls preferred. Proficiency with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) preferred
Our Manufacturing Designer will:
- Read and interpret architectural drawings into constructable designs for manufacturing while following applicable building code and company design standards
- Maintain drawings layouts and revisions in an established document library
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and develop strategies to increase manufacturing efficiency reduce costs and enhance product quality
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including process/manufacturing engineers and external architectural and engineering consultants to ensure that products are manufacturable and meet production requirements
- Promote and implements lean manufacturing principles to eliminate waste improve workflow and optimize resource utilization
- Identify costsaving opportunities and implement cost reduction initiatives
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of materials and components while maintaining high quality standards
- Maintain accurate and uptodate manufacturing documentation
- Ensure that manufacturing processes comply with all relevant safety and regulatory standards
