Samsara Technologies India Private Limiteds Connected Operations Cloud provides a unified platform to connect people systems and data involved in the world of physical operations. That means faster more informed decisions for a secure scalable and flexible organization powering critical operations.
Samsara Technologies India Private Limited is seeking an experienced Engineering Director to join our Platform & Infrastructure organization. Our Platform org is responsible for the core capabilities & infrastructure that powers Samsara Technologies India Private Limiteds Connected Operations Cloud. This includes areas such as Reporting Automations and Enterprise management capabilities to support our rapidly growing footprint of customers. Our Infrastructure org provides foundational infrastructure capabilities such as container orchestration data storage realtime data ingestion and graphql to the rest of Samsara Technologies India Private Limited engineering.
This is an inoffice position open to candidates based in Bengaluru India. This position requires working hours in IST.
In this role you will:
- Drive the vision roadmap and priorities for Samsaras Platform teams.
- Ensure high technical standards through both processes and the culture you instill.
- Mentor and grow engineering managers and staff/senior engineers.
- Champion role model and embed Samsaras cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success Build for the Long Term Adopt a Growth Mindset Be Inclusive Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices.
- Hire develop and lead an inclusive engaged and high performing team.
Minimum requirements for the role:
- 10 years of industry experience in software engineering/development.
- 7 years of engineering management experience.
- A track record of building highperforming software teams.
- Willingness to divedeep and solve challenging technical problems.
An ideal candidate also has:
- Experience managing managers and teams of 40 engineers.
- A customerfocused mindset and good product sense.
- 5 years of experience in SaaS software development roles.
- BS in Computer Science or Engineering.
- Experience with best practices around testing monitoring and SLAs to ensure high product quality in largescale distributed web services.
