A PhD or equivalent terminal degree (e.g. ScD MD DO) in human physiology integrative physiology nutrition exercise science or closely related field by the start date is required.
One or more years postdoctoral research and/or teaching experience or equivalent experience in industry or clinical practice is preferred.
RDN credential is desired if applying to teach nutrition courses.

Summary
The Department of Human Physiology and Nutrition in the Helen and Arthur E. Johnson BethEl College of Nursing and Health Sciences integrates basic applied and clinical aspects of human anatomy physiology nutrition dietetics and exercise science.The Department administers degree programs in Human Physiology and Nutrition (BS) Exercise Science (BS) Applied Physiology (MSc) and Nutrition and Dietetics (MSc). Additionally the Department is responsible for anatomy physiology and nutrition education across all healthrelated undergraduate programs (e.g. nursing premedicine preathletic training prephysical therapy).
The Department of Human Physiology and Nutrition is housed in the William J Hybl Sports Medicine and Performance Center (Hybl Center; . This stateoftheart facility is designed to promote a multidisciplinary and highly collaborative approach to education research and clinical practice driven by teamwork and a passion for translating research into realworld solutions. It promotes the concept of Exercise and Nutrition as Medicine for patients with various diseases and/or disorders. This project benefits from a close partnership between UCCS and Common Spirit Health that brings together a unique and unparalleled combination of clinical practice undergraduate and graduate education combined with clinical faculty and student research.
